CEPS report proofs: EU reduction targets on regulatory burdens are feasible

On 12 July 2017 Andrea Renda (Senior Research Fellow, Centre for European Policy Studies, CEPS) presented a robust feasibility study to reduction targets for regulatory burdens stemming from EU legislation. The report shows that the introduction of reduction targets on Commission level is feasible. The report identifies possible steps the European Commission (EC) can take to introduce reduction targets.

This research was an initiative of RegWatchEurope – the network of ATR and our sister organisations. The report has been presented to Mr. Timmermans, the First Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Better Regulation, as well as the members of the REFIT-platform. The EC will use the report as input for its own feasibility study
